How it works, in plain terms
You step on barefoot and hold the handle sensors. The scale sends a very small electrical signal through your body and estimates fat, muscle and water from how the signal travels. These are estimates, not medical measurements. Readings are affected by hydration, recent meals, exercise and the time of day, so the seller itself recommends weighing at the same time each day and watching trends, not single readings.

Who it may suit, and who should check first
May suit
- Adults who want more detail than a weight-only scale
- People who like tracking trends over weeks and months
- Households where several people want their own readings
Talk to a professional first
- Anyone with a pacemaker, defibrillator or other implanted electronic device
- Anyone who is pregnant or has a medical condition affecting fluid balance
- Anyone with a history of disordered eating, for whom frequent numbers may not be helpful
Follow the manufacturer's safety instructions. BIA scales are for general wellness tracking, not diagnosis.
