Key facts
| What it is | A wrist-worn wellness tracker with a fabric strap and no screen. It works with the Hume phone app. The seller describes it as a wellness product, not a medical device. |
|---|---|
| What it records | Heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen (SpO2), skin temperature, sleep stages, activity and movement, and strain and recovery, according to the seller |
| Scores in the app | The app also shows the seller's own scores, such as a Health Score and its "metabolic capacity" and "biological age" figures. These are estimates for general wellness, not medical measurements. |
| Sensors | 5 LEDs and 4 photodiodes, according to the seller |
| Battery | Up to 14 days per charge, according to the seller. Actual battery life depends on use, and the seller says frequent syncing can reduce it. |
| Water resistance | IP68. The seller says it is water-resistant to about 1 meter for up to 2 hours. |
| Connection | Bluetooth Low Energy. iPhone 8 or newer on iOS 14 or later, or Android 8.0 or later. |
| Strap | Adjustable. One strap is included, and extra straps are sold at extra cost. |
| App and subscription | The app is free and no subscription is required. The seller also offers an optional paid premium plan; its pages list it at about $9 to $10 a month. |
| Works with | Optionally pairs with the seller's Hume Pod body composition scale. The band works on its own. |
| Warranty | 1 year included, with an optional longer warranty at extra cost |
| Blood pressure | The seller also lists a "blood pressure insights" feature. We don't describe it, because a wristband is not a medical blood pressure monitor. Read the seller's page for what it claims and any limits. |

How it works, in plain terms
You wear the band on your wrist, day and night, and it records data through light sensors on the underside. The app turns that data into charts and scores, such as sleep stages and a recovery and strain view. The seller recommends checking the app each morning and looking at trends over weeks and months, not single readings.
We have not tested this product. Everything here comes from the seller's published information. The seller makes much larger claims about health, aging and detecting illness, and shows testimonials from doctors and athletes. We do not repeat them. A wearable is not a medical device, and it cannot diagnose or prevent illness. You can read the seller's claims on its page and judge for yourself.
